Medical Definition of POMPE'S DISEASE

:  an often fatal glycogen storage disease that results from an enzyme deficiency, is characterized by abnormal accumulation of glycogen especially in the liver, heart, and muscle, and usually appears during infancy—called also acid maltase deficiency
